SETNET, the Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics Network, has awarded the Award for Contribution to the Science and Engineering Ambassadors Programme to the Lancashire and Cumbria Branch.
This is only the second time such a prestigious award has been given. It is not an annual or regional award, but given as SETNET see fit. The award was presented at an awards ceremony 'Investors in Education 2006', held by the Lancashire Education and Business Partnership on Thursday 22 June 2006 at Clayton Park, Accrington, Lancashire.
Kevin Burke, NW Regional Director of SETNET, made the presentation. Barbara Tigar, Manager SETPOINT Lancashire was also present.
