Lectures and meetings are held throughout Ireland from September to June (non-members welcome). In spring a weekend meeting is held for physicists and their families and colleagues from all over Ireland. At this there is an AGM, a poster session for postgraduates, lectures covering a broad range of topics and a social programme.
Lectures or seminars of interest to those in industry and outreach events for the general public are also arranged each year, details can be found .
The Institute also support and sponsors the annual meetings for physics teachers.
