Honorary Fellowship

Call for nominations 2009

The Institute of Physics is now seeking nominations for honorary fellowship, and it needs your help to nominate exceptional individuals to whom it might award its highest honour. Honorary fellowship is conferred by the Institute on distinguished individuals for exceptional service to physics or a closely related discipline. It may also recognise important service to the Institute or someone whose relationship with the Institute has been of tremendous benefit.

Those wishing to make a nomination for honorary fellowship are asked complete a nomination form.  There is also a guidance note which provides further information about honorary fellowship and advice on how to complete the form.

The closing date for the receipt of nominations is Tuesday 17 February 2009.

Completed nomination forms should be sent to:

Secretary to the Awards Committee
The Institute of Physics
76 Portland Place
London W1B 1NT

Completed nomination forms may also be submitted by email to awards@iop.org.

The Institute welcomes nominations from the business and industry communities as well as for women physicists and physicists from ethnic minorities.
