Canadian Association of Physicists celebrate 60th anniversary

2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP). In celebration of this occasion, a new book is being launched on 21 September 2005: “60 Years A-Growing: A History of the Canadian Association of Physicists” by Jasper McKee, PPhys. This book provides readers with a brief history of the CAP, based on a combination of historical records and personal recollections submitted to the author.

"This book to celebrate the 60 years of existence of the CAP is an absolute gem. It is an enjoyable read thanks to the lively and uniquely compelling writing style of its author, Jasper McKee. It grabbed my attention and, at the end of reading it, I realized what an accomplishment the book was. I commend it wholeheartedly to anyone interested in learning how the practice of physics evolved in Canada over the last 60 years. We all owe Jasper a lot of gratitude for this important contribution to the life of the CAP." - Walter Davidson, PPhys, CAP President.
